Borcelik Amateur Radio Club - YM3VBR
Ata Mh. 125 Nolu Sk. No.1, Gemlik
Bursa 16600 TÜRKIYE

Hallo liebe Freunde in Bursa, dear friends in Bursa,

I am very pleased to receive the diploma number 001 for making 5 contacts with your friendly clubstation YM3VBR.

After the qso I always look to „qrz.com“ and I found the information for this award.

The article „Geschichte eines Betriebsamateurfunkclubs“ from Falk -DK7ZZ- and Andreas -DL7ZZ- was interesting me very much. I knew Falk from Berlin personally, he is my QSL-card checker for the DXCC and we met several times since over 30 years during the HAM-Radio in Friedrichshafen/Bodensee – Lake Constance-.

It was a very quick delivery of the diploma. One big mistake I made, giving my P.O. Box address, because I thought the delivery will come as letter. But some telephone-calls to the DHL Express Service in Dortmund and giving the street adress, all was ok and the diploma could be delivered. Now I am the proud first owner of this diploma.

Mission and Vision

The mission and vision of YM3VBR were defined within, first, the legislative frameworks that is binding for Turkish amateur radio operators and second, company procedures of Borçelik. Hence the mission statement: to make amateur radio a wide-known and respected hobby for the employee base and develop skilled amateur radio operators form the members of Borçelik. Our vision extends the horizons of amateur radio, to become a technologically advanced and a self-sufficient station, especially equipment-wise. We're also open to conduct collaborative activities with other Hobby Clubs of Borçelik, namely Trekking Club and other Clubs with outdoor skills, such as Scuba Diving and Fishing.

Club in a Company

YM3VBR is one of the very few amateur radio clubs that are established within corporate settings. The idea originated when our company, Borçelik launched Hobby Clubs, as a means to motivate and bind together the employee base. All members are the employee of the Company and the whole support is provided by the Company itself. Professional communication needs and associated processes are all outside form the mision and vision of YM3VBR, which solely deals with "amateur" radio. Ham radio friends outside the Company are always welcomed to support YM3VBR, only if their contribution aligns with the binding rules and procedures of the Club. Year by year, YM3VBR tries to leverage the abilities provided by the Company in a developing manner.
